ASTT provides professional installation for many of the products available through our store, from vehicle storage and exterior equipment to electrical upgrades and complete off-grid systems.
Our workshop is based in Barnoldswick, Lancashire, and we support customers travelling to us from across the UK.

How installation works
Choose your product
Select the product, size, finish and vehicle options you need. Where installation is available, select “Include fitting” before adding the product to your basket.
This tells our team that you would like us to install it. It does not confirm an installation date or add a fixed fitting charge to your order.
We check compatibility
Once we receive your order, a member of the ASTT team will contact you to confirm:
• Your vehicle make, model and year
• The product and options selected
• Any existing equipment or modifications
• The installation work required
• Whether any additional parts are needed
We may ask for photographs, measurements or further vehicle information before confirming the work.
We confirm the fitting price
Installation requirements vary between vehicles, so fitting is quoted separately.
We will explain what is involved, confirm the installation price and let you know whether any additional components are required. Nothing beyond your original product order will be charged without your agreement.
We arrange your visit
Once the product and installation details have been confirmed, we will agree a suitable workshop date with you.
Supplier-sourced products currently take approximately three weeks to arrive. We normally arrange the installation once the goods are available and have been checked by our team.
We install and test everything
Bring your vehicle to our workshop on the agreed date and we will complete the installation.
The work may include vehicle preparation, mounting, wiring, system configuration and testing, depending on the product. We will let you know how long we expect the installation to take before your visit.
We walk you through the result
Before you leave, we will inspect the completed work and explain anything you need to know about using, maintaining or removing the product.
For electrical equipment and more involved systems, we will also demonstrate the controls and answer any questions you have.

We are based close to the Lancashire and Yorkshire border, within easy reach of Burnley, Skipton, Blackburn, Preston and the wider North West.

Monday to Friday
8:30am–4:30pm
Visits and installations must be arranged in advance. Please do not travel to the workshop until your appointment has been confirmed.
What to expect on the day
Arrival
Please arrive at the agreed time and make sure we have access to the vehicle, keys and any areas involved in the installation.
Vehicle inspection
We will inspect the relevant part of your vehicle before starting. If we discover previous damage, unsuitable modifications or additional work that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand, we will discuss it with you before continuing.
Installation
Your vehicle will remain at our workshop while the work is completed. Smaller installations may be finished the same day, while larger upgrades or complete systems may require the vehicle to stay with us for longer.
We will confirm the expected timescale when arranging your booking.
Testing and handover
Once the installation is complete, we will test the product and check the finished work. We will then walk you through the installation before returning the vehicle.
Preparing your vehicle
Before your appointment, please:
• Remove personal belongings from the installation area
• Make sure the vehicle is reasonably clean and accessible
• Tell us about existing wiring, equipment or previous modifications
• Bring any keys needed to access lockers, garages or external compartments
• Let us know about alarms, trackers or battery isolation procedures
• Arrive with enough fuel or charge for any necessary vehicle testing
If additional preparation is required for your installation, we will explain this beforehand.

Installation availability depends on the product and vehicle. If the fitting option does not appear on a product page, contact us and we will confirm whether we can help.
Already own the product?
You can still ask ASTT about installation if you already own the product or purchased it elsewhere.
We will first need to check the product, vehicle compatibility and completeness of the supplied parts. We cannot guarantee products supplied by another retailer, but we can confirm whether we are comfortable installing them and provide a separate quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Does selecting “Include fitting” pay for installation?
No. Selecting the option sends an installation request to ASTT. We will check the vehicle and product before providing a separate fitting quotation.
Is my appointment confirmed when I place the order?
No. Your installation date is only confirmed after you have spoken with our team and agreed to the fitting price and proposed appointment.
How much does installation cost?
The price depends on the product, vehicle and complexity of the work. We will provide a clear quotation before arranging the installation.
How long will the work take?
Some products can be fitted within a few hours. More involved installations may take a full day or require the vehicle to stay with us for several days. We will provide an expected timescale before your appointment.
Can I wait at the workshop?
This depends on the length of the installation. For shorter work, we will let you know whether waiting is practical. For longer installations, you will need to arrange collection or onward travel.
Can you install products at my home?
Our standard installation service is provided at the ASTT workshop in Barnoldswick. Contact us if you have an unusual project or vehicle that cannot easily be brought to us.
What happens if the product does not fit?
We check vehicle compatibility before arranging the installation. If an unexpected compatibility issue is discovered, we will stop and discuss the available options with you before modifying the product or vehicle.
Can you fit several products during the same visit?
Yes. Tell us everything you would like installed when we contact you. Combining work into one appointment may be more efficient and could reduce the overall fitting cost.
Will the installation be covered?
ASTT installation work is covered by our workmanship support. Products are covered by the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty. We will explain the relevant cover during your handover.
